Are taster sessions available?

Yes, free taster sessions are always available at any of the venues. See this page for details.

What is the cost per session?

Each session costs £6. However, they need to be booked in blocks for each school half term. The length of school half terms can vary from 4 weeks up to 9 weeks. Therefore, the cost for a block can vary from £24 up to £54.

Can my child go on the adventure course without adult supervision?

Confident children can tackle each adventure course without physical assistance, but we feel that parents / grandparents / carers will gain a lot from following their child around each adventure course offering encouragement and support.

What is the age range to join in with a Mettle Monkeys adventure?

The upper age is 5 but the lower age is based on your child’s confidence. A confident walker with the assistance of a parent / grandparent / carer will have fun on the course and be able to cope with the obstacles. All of the obstacles are suitable for all ages.

Are there different start times for the Mettle Monkeys adventures?

There is a choice of two start times that are available at certain venues, these are 9:30am and 12 noon. Each session lasts for 40 minutes.

9:30am start

  • Stoke Prior (Stoke Prior Village Hall): 9:30am – 10:10am (Mondays)

  • Aston Fields (St Godwald’s Church Hall): 9:30am – 10:10am (Wednesdays)

  • Barnt Green (St Andrew’s Parish Centre): 9:30am – 10:10am (Thursdays)

12 noon start

  • Catshill (Catshill Village Hall): 12:00 noon – 12:40pm (Mondays)

  • Sidemoor (Newsong Hall): 12:00 noon – 12:40pm (Wednesdays)

  • Rubery (St Chad’s Church): 12:00 noon – 12:40pm (Thursdays)

Do I book an individual class or a block of classes?

Classes are booked as a school half term block. The number of classes in a block will vary depending on the school term times. The only sessions that are available individually are the free taster sessions. Please check this page for more information.

Can younger siblings who are not confident walkers come along to watch?

Yes, but for safety reasons they wouldn’t be allowed to use the adventure course.

Is Mettle Monkeys open in the school holidays?

Mettle Monkeys only runs during school term times. Please check this page for more information.

Am I allowed to bring food and drink with me?

Yes, but please do not allow your child to eat or drink on or near any of the equipment.

Are you insured in case of an accident?

Yes, we hold public liability insurance.

Can I leave my child in your care while I leave the venue?

Unfortunately, we require parents/grandparents/carers to stay at the venue whilst the session is running.
